Homemade: Christmas Postcards

I thought it would be fun to receive something homemade this holiday so I decided to do Christmas postcards {no envelopes}. Even though I hadn't decided what they were going to look like, I did know I wanted them to be simple and made of things I already owned.

I started with card stock and looked through my box of crafts for stamps and markers. The cards were missing something... so I took a jagged edged scissor to finish them off. {reminds me of winter}

I'm really happy with the way they turned out and can't wait for my family and friends to receive them. What are you making this holiday season?

We Wish You A Merry Christmas...

This Christmas was spent with my parents which are about an hour an a half away. And even though this holiday season has been quiet... its been the most gratifying. Christmas Eve I was watching August Rush with my dad all night... little things that fill my heart with LOVE!

This time of year I reflect on others and the joy they bring to my life. Although all of my family couldn't be with us on that day, they were definitely in my heart. I'm grateful for all I have and appreciate everyone in my life... regardless of how close we are. I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and continue to have a great Holiday Season.
On the way to my parents house my dog felt the need  to stick his head out the window every chance he got... but once i got a clear shot of him he quickly moved so he wouldn't be in the shot.

My moms town is the closest thing to a White Christmas we were getting!

I can truly sit by the tree with it lit and do absolutely nothing for hours... all i need is some hot cocoa!

And last but not least, Santa's sleigh and reindeer... I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas as much as I did.

Tis The Season...

So a woman at work is collecting toys for tots.. but it turns out its not just babies. There are a lot of children well into their teens who often are left without presents cause we imagine tots being infants. So I got together with my husband, mother and cousin to put together over a dozen presents! I am so excited as these are the best presents I have rounded together thus far this season. Times like these remind me of how fortunate we really are and how lucky we are to be the ones giving...

( I pray that everyone in need gets what they can this season and throughout the rest of their days)

Happy Halloween!!

"Thriller" by Micheal Jackson is always a great treat. Hearing it on the radio throughout the day has left me singing. So, as I wait for trick or treaters to ring my bell I share with you the end of the song:

"The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller"

And that part of the song pretty much sums it all... Have a safe holiday!
