DIY: Curling Wand
{source}
I have been looking for a curling wand for the longest time and just couldn't justify the difference in price. When I saw this tutorial there was definitely a sigh of relief and a why didn't I think of that moment. I bought this iron and am loving its transformation.

Organization: Accesssories
Sometimes I feel as though my brain can't function without some sort of order. So I'm sharing with you inexpensive ways I decided to organize my things. I am fortunate to have a walk in closet and although its not nearly as large or glamorous as any of these, its nice to be able to house my clothing and accessories all in one place.
I am starting to acquire a collection of rings.. To better find them my husband actually gifted me the pair of above glass hands {similar ones here} and they are perfect.
I have a small collection of broaches some from when my mother was younger and others I've collected throughout the years. Always having them out of site I decided to purchase an inexpensive bust from Michaels and pinned them.
Bracelets and watches are really where my love for accessories began. I got this tiered organizer on ebay {similar one here} and divided my things in a few categories. First row has stretchy/clasp bracelets, digital and regular watches on second row {love a nice digital watch/fun & unexpected}, and regular/enameled bangles on last.
Tired of tangled necklaces I took thumbtacks and pushed them in the wall. I'm sure you could get more decorative with knobs and so on but I didn't want anything permanent in case I thought of a better idea in the future.
Lastly, Small bags and clutches always seem to get lost with the rest of my things so I took a decent size shoe box and thats that.
I hope you enjoyed the post and maybe I've inspired you to get organized... how are you storing your accessories?

Homemade: Christmas Postcards
I thought it would be fun to receive something homemade this holiday so I decided to do Christmas postcards {no envelopes}. Even though I hadn't decided what they were going to look like, I did know I wanted them to be simple and made of things I already owned.
I started with card stock and looked through my box of crafts for stamps and markers. The cards were missing something... so I took a jagged edged scissor to finish them off. {reminds me of winter}
I'm really happy with the way they turned out and can't wait for my family and friends to receive them. What are you making this holiday season?

How To: Eyebrows
.
Since I'm so obsessed with eyebrows as I mentioned here I decided to share with you my technique:
Step Four: Start from the lowest part and eliminate hairs that you are certain need to go. Continue working your way up stepping back every so often to see the bigger picture (only use magnified mirror to see if you missed any baby hairs.
Step Five: If needed tweeze extra hairs that may affect your shape.. try not to get carried away.
Step Six: Once you have your desired shape you can fill in any gaps with a pencil going in the same direction as your hair growth. You don't want to fill in the entire brow merely add a shadow of color where your hairs may be thinner. I like to do this stepped away from the mirror so I see it from a distance.

365: Eye Candy
images: sunglasshut.com
I loooove sunglasses and since moving to Florida a few years ago I never leave the house without them. Let's just say the moment I think the sun is about to rise they are drawn to my face like a magnet. The best part about them is you can wear them all the time because the sun comes out every single day. With that said, I currently have a little collection for use with contacts and my go to pair with that magical prescription so I can see far far away.
I am however currently in need of a new pair and after looking through numerous styles have my eyes set on these Tory Burch sunglasses and although I'm not sure what color to get them in (leaning towards the blue) one thing for sure is they will not be in black. I'm ready for some color in eye-wear.. they are an accessory after all.
I find myself enjoying the retro styles and wouldn't mind getting one of each of the above pairs.What kind of sunglasses are you currently lovin' and are you thinking about color also?
Helpfull Tip:
When buying glasses you will notice they all have three sets of numbers: 55/14/135
The first set (55) is the distance of one lense, the second set (14) is the measurement of the bridge and the last set of numbers (135) is the length of the arm. So if you currently have a pair that fit you nicely you can get an idea if the new pair you are thinking of buying will fit just as nice.

Day 'n' Night
LC Boyfriend Blazer, Loft Dress,Coach & Aldo Bangles, Via Spiga Pumps
Personal Accents Necklace, Random Belt, Carlos Santana Sandals
It's amazing how a few accessories can change the mood of an outfit. During the day I paired my dress with a black boyfriend blazer, black pumps and of course bangles that I enjoy so much. ( as seen here and here ) For the night I changed it up a bit and added this necklace and my patent leather sandals that look almost identical to these.
What do you have in your closet that you can take from day to night?
